Thursday -  Alec is 22 month old today!

Busy evening, Alec and I ran some errands after work. So, we when we got home, we had a quick dinner and watched some kid-friendly shows. It was a nice, lazy evening.

I'm not very good at updating, but here goes - Alec is 22 months old (I added this on 8/8):

Language/Words: Alec has started saying 2-3 word sentences and it is so easy to understand him now, except for when he's throwing a fit.  He's started singing the ABC song - he can actually make it through most of the alphabet. When he says LMNOP - it all kind of runs together. He also sings Twinkle, Twinkle, little star. He loves the song "Bullet Proof" by La Roux - he asks for it by name (good thing he doesn't like her other songs because I can't handle them!).  His favorite music is still Jack Johnson and The Ting Tings.  He can count to 10 and can call the Hogs! He calls the Razorback "Sooie" - it's really cute. He talks on his play phone to Grandma.

Some of Alec's most common phrases/words:

More (insert whatever) milk/cookies/Bulletproof/etc - he nods his head yes

Trash - he loves to throw stuff away and always looking for trash

When we drive by the construction on 630, he loves to see all the dump trucks. We talk way too much about dirt and dump trucks in the car. :)


Food/Eating/Sleeping/Stats:
Alec tried peanut butter for the first time and loved it. He now asks for "butter sandwiches." He's still eating waffles, a banana, and milk for breakfast. He eats lunch and snacks at school and then eats dinner (rarely anything) at home.  He's still pretty picky and doesn't eat any meat but chicken nuggets. He loves cheese, crackers, chips, veggie pouches, bananas, mandarin oranges, cantaloupe, and bread. He drinks milk and water. He still does pretty good in restaurants, I just try to tip better if he gets stuff on the floor! :)

He's started going to bed a little later with the long summer nights, most nights he's in bed by 9 but sometimes earlier if he's had a long day. He sleeps with a razorback or "Sooie, " his bunny lovey, Boots, an Easter bear, and a glow seahorse. When we leave him at night he's got his music box playing and his seahorse is playing music - it's a little noisy but he loves it.

He still hates getting his diaper changed and he hates wipes. He'll say no wipes! He's wearing a size 5 diaper, 2T clothing, size 7.5W shoe, and he weights 29.4 lbs. The last time we measured his height he was 34.5 inches tall. All of his teeth have started to poke through, but he's still teething really bad.

Comings/Goings:
He's a lot easier to take to the grocery store now and he loves the little car carts. If he has a snack, he'll sit there content for most of the trip. He took a little trip with Grandpa this month to Hot Springs, he visited my Mom and Sister at work. We also took a little trip to the Farmer's market and had lunch. We went to the Circus and Alec loved it. We went to a birthday party, Eric's cousin's wedding, and he had an end of the summer party at school.

Misc:
Alec loves to color and play with playdoh. He also likes to help me cook - he'll help make pizzas or cookies. He really enjoys helping. We've started a little routine where he puts away his school bag, shoes, and washes his hands when he gets home. He is still really affectionate and always gives hugs and kisses. That makes me happy! :)

I know I'm forgetting stuff and this is a little all over the place. However, it'll help preserve some of these crazy day memories. My little baby is all BOY. I can't believe he's going to be TWO in 2 months. I've already started planning his birthday party. Even though time is flying, every day seems better than the last. He's just so much fun and joy.
