Saturday - We got up early this morning thinking we might go to a play at the art's center children's theater. Well, the show was sold out so we quickly came up with the idea to go to the Zoo. We had some donuts for breakfast and then headed over to the Zoo. Alec had a great time and ran around everywhere. He kept asking to see the elephants. We rode the train and visited the penguin exhibit. Afterward, we headed over to "All Aboard" (again) for lunch. Later after some rest time, we went to a cook out at our friends' house. We had a good day!

Friday - Yay for the weekend! Tonight we had dinner at Izzy's and made a stop at Home Depot for some arcade supplies and light bulbs. We also had Shake's ice cream on the way home. We even laid out under the stars and sang "twinkle, twinkle, little star."

Thursday - This picture was taken on our way home from work/school. I had a meeting tonight so we were in a hurry so we had a quick dinner and I was on my way.

Tuesday - Grandpa made a last minute visit yesterday and stayed the night. He kept Alec home today and they had a fun day. This picture was right before Grandpa left. Alec has an awful look on his face because he's mad at me for taking a picture. He's saying "No picture!"

Sunday - Alec's 2nd Birthday photo shoot - a sneak peek! If you've ever tried to take pics of an almost 2 year old, you know it's impossible to predict how he's going to react. He hated wearing the hat I picked out for him and I basically chased him around putting it on his head. We finally got him to wear it but only for a few minutes. The above series of pictures was just funny to me because it's a play-by-play of how the shoot went overall. I would put the hat on his head and then he'd run off and take off the hat.

Provisional Retreat for Junior League

Saturday - Today was boys' day out. I had a Junior League commitment from 8-3 so Alec and Eric headed to the Wonder Place for the morning and had lunch at Chick-fila. Eric kept me updated with pictures from the day. The boys had a great day, this was the first time they both had really had a day to themselves that wasn't a work/daycare day.
