Tuesday - The top picture is of Alec right after we got in the car from school. He's started climbing up in the 4 Runner by himself and then he gets nosy and starts going through my console in the front seat - pressing buttons, checking out my garage opener, and grabbing my phone. He's a little handful!
The latter pics are just us chilling in the backyard after dinner and Eric modeling my new sunglasses.
Wednesday - Another busy day and our last major event for the week. Tonight Eric and I headed to Verizon Arena to watch the Foo Fighters live in concert. This was the last of my birthday presents from Eric. The concert was great and a lot of fun but we didn't last the entire time. We gave up about 11:45 p.m. and headed home. Not only are we getting old, we had to work the next day and our babysitting friends were waiting on us as well!
Tuesday - Another night out for me! I attended the JLLR provisional acceptance party, I had a good time and I'm excited about my first year in Junior League. The first picture is of Alec's daily sheet at daycare - looks like he had a great day! The last pic is courtesy of Eric. Alec is holding Boots from DTE, Alec loves Boots and looks pretty happy here.
Monday - We met up after work to eat dinner at Buffalo Grill. I think Alec can sense when I'm in a hurry, I was trying to grab a quick bite before my Photography class. He wouldn't stay in his high-chair and would only eat in my lap. Eric snapped this photo while I was juggling eating my food while holding Alec. :)

Sunday - Back to life, back to reality...just a typical Sunday. Our day was filled with grocery shopping, making a Target run, and cleaning house. Eric left early to go to a roller derby bout while Alec and I stayed around the house.
In these pics, Alec smeared his dinner all in his hair. It looked pretty wild and was stiff and sticky. He's a funny one! :) Busy week ahead...
Saturday - My 30th Birthday! My mom and sis came down to LR for the day. We had a great time. We went to lunch at PF Changs and then had a very tasty chocolate raspberry cake from our favorite bakery in Hot Springs. It was so good!
I've had a great couple of days. Time with my sweet mom and sister and time with my boys. So far, being 30 has been great!
Friday - Sorry Grandmas, no pics of Alec today. :) I completely dropped the ball and only snapped this picture. It's my birthday shopping trip list. Yes, I made a list - couldn't forget anything - ha! Funny thing, is I didn't make it to all these places. I just got too tired/burned out - can't shop like I used to!
For my birthday, I took the entire day off work to have some "me" time. With the craziness of working full time and being a mother, it's really a struggle to take care of yourself. I think I do a pretty good job of balancing but everyone needs a little shopping/relaxing day. I recommend it for everyone! :)
Eric took me out for a very nice dinner at Ashley's at the Capitol Hotel. Since we've moved to LR, I've been wanting to try it. I have to admit I felt a little out of place there but it was a great time and the food was very interesting and overall good. We had a 6 course meal and it took over 2 hours - definitely an experience.
Thursday - The first pics are just some fun/cute ones of Alec. The last picture is how Eric left us (watching DTE) on the couch. After the show went off, Alec fell asleep on me and we both eventually fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up, I took Alec straight to bed. He was so sweet, it's always a treat when he falls asleep on me. I was always so nervous to completely relax when he was an infant so it's good to be able to now. :)
Wednesday - My only picture worth showing from the day. Alec didn't run a fever at all Tuesday so he went back to school and we went back to work on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the first day back after being out for a long weekend wears the little guy out. He was pretty upset when we put him to bed, just really tired.
We took advantage of the nice weather and went for an after work run. I'm still adjusting to the jogging stroller but it is getting easier (stroller 23 lbs + Alec 28 lbs). We got a short but good run in down by the river.
Tuesday - Alec was still running a fever the entire day/night on Monday, so no daycare for the second day in a row. Today, Eric stayed home with him while I went to work.
I just love baby feet! I remember loving that part of the ultrasound when we first saw Alec's feet. Even though the boy can wear a size 7 shoe now, his feet are still so cute. I think they are the chubbiest part of his body.
In the other pictures, Alec is helping with the trash and doing some baby yoga :)
The last two pictures are kind of out of place, but I stayed true to my dates! I finally got around to taking pictures of my sweet Mother's day presents. We celebrated my Mother's day on Saturday, the boys took me out to lunch at Mimi's and then I got to do a little fun shopping afterward while Alec took a nap. I received so many sweet cards from family and I got the little boy with the gold heart from Alec. Eric got me a gift card to one of my favorite stores. I had a great day.
Monday - Alec's fever spiked to 100.6 Sunday evening, so I ended up staying home with him today. The good thing was he was feeling great and in a good mood for most of the day so we were able to have some fun. We played outside and planted some flowers/plants I got for Mother's day. We did end up going to the doctor just because I couldn't tell if he was fighting an ear infection or some other bacterial type thing. He got a clean checkup so basically it was just a wait and see kind of thing.
That evening, I had my photo class we went on a "field trip" to the River Market in downtown. We had a great time and I got a few interesting pictures from the night.
