Thursday - Hooray for the sunshine! Finally after almost 2 weeks of rain, the sun finally decided to make an appearance. We finished up a little yard work that I had started about 2 weeks ago. We planted some flowers and spread some mulch around and cleaned up the beds a little. Alec was following me around with his lawnmower and he carried around some tools and worked too. He loves being outside and helping!

In the top picture, Alec is feeding his teddy bear. I guess he was hungry! :)

Wednesday - Not much going on today. We are all tired from the week of wild weather and ready for the weekend. I only got one picture of Alec today and this was after we got home and he was eating a snack.

Tuesday - Tonight we were expecting more bad weather. So we tried to get around early and wait it out in case we needed to get in the closet again. Thankfully, we were spared any more severe storms.

The other pics are of Alec after his bath in his diaper - just so cute! :)

Monday - What a crazy night! Bad weather hit our area. Around 7:30 storms came through WLR and it was pretty scary. We lost power while the storm came through. Thankfully, we were all ok and safe and thanks to Entergy we had power when we woke up the next morning.

The sirens went off for most of the night and we spent about an hour in our closet. To occupy our time, we watched Dora the Explorer.

Sunday - Easter Sunday! We stayed at Lamar with family and had a great time. Alec and I woke up early and had breakfast and then we got around to go to Eric's grandma's house.

The weather was pretty stormy all day but we did get a little egg hunting in before the rain hit. Alec also got to have some fun with his cousins, Dawson and Chandler. After lunch and visiting with family, Alec and I took a nap. It was a good day! :)

Saturday - Well the Easter bunny did good! Alec loved all his gifts. We had a busy, fun-filled day. After waking Alec up that morning we dyed and decorated some Easter eggs. He loved dying the eggs and all the "colors."

After we let the eggs dry, we got ready and went outside to hunt eggs. Alec really had a good time and did a good job finding the eggs.

After lunch and a nap, we headed to Lamar for the Easter weekend.

Friday - The first pictures of Eric and Alec goofing off after dinner. Eric is blowing on Alec's finger and then acting like he's deflating like a balloon. Alec thought it was hilarious.

The last two pictures are of Alec's Easter basket and his gifts. The Easter bunny came early! Alec got a bubble lawn mower, some new sandals, some bubbles, a Dora movie, and a candy filled egg.

Thursday - Today was Alec's Easter party at school. I took a late lunch and went over to take some pictures - I can't pass up babies eating holiday snacks! They are all so cute. Alec also took home a basket full of candy filled eggs.

After the party and school, I thought we'd try to see if Alec would take pictures with the Easter bunny. Well, it didn't go over well after all. In fact it was a traumatic event for him. He didn't even want to get near the Easter bunny. It was very traumatic for the little guy. Maybe next year! He did tell the Easter bunny "bye bye" and wave - that was the only time he was happy.

We ate at chick-fila for dinner and called it an evening after watching Dora on the couch.

Wednesday - Our neighbor and Alec's friend Ben had his second  birthday and brought over some cupcakes to share with Alec. I thought we would wait until later to try these but Alec had a different plan, he pulled the cupcakes off the counter and started saying cake. So, he got a little snack before he went off to bed. He wasn't happy when we took the cupcake away.

The last picture is of the treat bags Alec and I put together for his Easter party at school on Thursday. I put a little book and some treats in the bags for the kids.
