Sick, Sick, Sick! Alec caught a pretty nasty stomach virus and is sick. He snuggled up with Daddy on the couch and napped. He didn't really want to eat anything - poor little guy. Although, by looking at him, you'd never guess he was sick - he laughed and played all day. In the bottom pic, he's blowing raspberries on the ottoman - so cute!

Saturday! We had a pretty busy day - it was the first day everyone started venturing out after the snow. That morning, Alec was being so funny - I tried to feed him some yogurt and he basically refused. I guess I left it out on the table and he grabbed it and started feeding himself. He made a huge mess but it was cute. He's getting so independent - he's always wanting to feed himself.
Later that afternoon, we went to our next door neighbor's, Averi, 2nd birthday party at the Little Gym. I think he had a pretty good time playing on all the equipment. He was the only boy at the party. He mostly just did his own thing except he made a little girl cry. He stuck his hand in her mouth, not sure what he was thinking but he didn't seem to care that it bothered her. He had some cake and ice cream and then we went home.
Alec apparently picked up a pretty nasty stomach virus at the party - more on that later!
Later that evening, our friends watched Alec while Eric and I went to a dinner and a movie. We saw The King's Speech - it was a really good movie and we had a great time.

Snow day #3! We all stayed home again today. Alec was enjoying some breakfast while I got my Today Show fix - I'm addicted. While Alec napped, I ventured out to work for a few hours to check email and tackle a few small projects. I think over the last 5 weeks, I haven't worked a full week either with sickness, holidays, or snow. How am I ever going to handle a 5 day work week again? :)

Snow Day #2. Thursday was a slow and lazy day. I reorganized my kitchen cabinets and got rid of a lot of unnecessary items - it's amazing what you can rack up in 10 years.

The forecasters were not wrong! Little Rock got some major snow - we got between 5 and 6 inches and some parts of the state got 2 feet! Wednesday was the first of three whole days at home due to snow. Thankfully, my office closed and Eric was able to work at home. I passed the time by watching the exciting weather reports, watching the falling snow, baking, and playing with Alec. I'm loving the snow breaks this year. The weather report showed that Little Rock is 487% above average for snow fall this year - I can believe it!
I made some valentine cupcakes earlier in the day and after it stopped snowing we took some to our neighbors. Alec also passed out his first valentine's cards - to our neighbors Ben and Averi. Alec loved getting all bundled up in his warm clothes, he was all smiles. It was really cold!
