September 6, 2011

This is the beach house we rented for the week.

The sky was so blue after the storm passed.

Alec loved collecting shells, there were so many.

Alec warmed up to the ocean water, last year he wouldn't even put his feet in the water.

Watching helicopters on the IPad.

Tuesday - Today started around 8:00 when Alec and I woke up. We had breakfast and waited for Daddy to get out of bed. Around 10, I went for a jog, while Daddy and Alec watched Dora. Then, we got ready and went swimming at the pool. It was still pretty cold even though the weather was much better than yesterday. The sun was out and after our swim we decided to go to the beach. Alec was pretty reluctant and was upset when we got to the sand but loosened up once we started collecting sea shells. We stayed there for around an hour.

After the beach, we had lunch and all took some afternoon naps. After we woke up, we hung out on the porch and had a snack. Then we headed to island's playground area to play. After that, we went back to the beach to collect more shells and watch the sun begin to set. Alec really liked the beach this time and was actually running toward the water. We saw a bunch of jelly fish and even one as big as a large pizza. I guess the tropical storm had washed them ashore.  We left the beach and made short stop at the market for some more drinks. We headed home, had dinner and removed Alec's first splinter - so sad! We ended the evening watching TV.
