Saturday - Alec wasn't feeling too well today, I think he's coming down with a cold. We mostly spent the day around the house and went for a long walk around the neighborhood. At dinner, Alec messed up his hair and was just being a mess in general - that look on his face in the top pic says it all! :)

Daddy and Alec got cozy on the couch while watching the movie The Pursuit of Happyness. It's such a good movie but pretty sad.

One funny thing Alec has started doing is fake sneezing. Eric will act like he's sneezing and Alec will imitate him. He's also started to call everything "Moma." At first, I thought he was asking for me or looking for me. Well now he's just pointing at stuff and saying "Moma" - so who knows what that means!?

Friday and Eric's 33rd Birthday! This pic is from the morning when Alec gave Daddy his birthday card. Daddy loved the card and the special artwork from Alec. :)

Eric and I went out for dinner at Bravo's while some friends watched Alec. We had a great time and I think Eric had a pretty good birthday. :)

Thursday - Crazy weather all over the State. I left work a little before 5 and the sirens were going off. I made it to the car and it started pouring. I made it to Alec's daycare and they were in the middle of a tornado drill. I snapped the top pic in hallway with my iphone.

Thankfully, the storm came through and just left us with a lot of rain, wind, and some thunder and lightening. We made it home safely and quickly I got Alec to sign Eric's birthday cards with crayons. It was cute.

Alec later pulled out the broom and started sweeping. Well sort of, he mostly just pulled the broom around on the carpet. :)

Wednesday night - I went out with some girls from work while Eric and Alec had Chick-fila for dinner. When I got home, Alec was ready for bed but he decided he wanted a drink. He pulled Eric's cup off the table and started trying to drink. Not sure he could handle diet coke! :)

How is it that the large cup doesn't look out of place in his hands? He's growing so fast!

President's Day - Eric and I were off today for the government holiday. We had several projects we needed to complete at home and wanted to catch a movie, so Alec went to daycare for a while. I thought his outfit was cute - we got his "pirate in training" shirt while on vacation last August. It was so big he didn't really get a chance to wear it, now it fits perfectly.

Alec loves being outside and going places. As soon as he sees us getting ready to leave, he's at the door wanting us to open it (top picture) -  we can't mention "outside" until we are ready to go or he throws a fit.

Sunday - Alec's first faux-hawk! His hair is really starting to grow. At lunch, he smeared mashed potatoes in his hair. I tried to wash it out but it was just a sticky mess, so I styled a faux hawk.

Later that day, we went to Hot Springs for a visit at Grandma's. Alec had a great time as usual. We had dinner and came back home - it was a good visit.

Saturday! Today was a beautiful day! We spent a lot of time outside and I didn't get a lot of pics.  Our day was busy, filled with visits from family. We all went out to lunch and had a great time.

In this pic, Alec and Eric are playing a toddler game on the ipad - Alec loves it. I have a feeling Alec is going to be taking this over soon or at least using it more than Eric. :)

Today was our first full day back to work and school in over a week! Man it was rough on me and this little guy.

Not much going on, Alec is getting his appetite back and had some fun with his balloons after dinner. The little guy was so tired after his dinner and bath he refused to read any books and asked to be put to bed. Poor little guy! Good thing the weekend is not far off and it's another long one too - yay!

Rough and Tumble! Alec is doing much better after the nasty stomach virus. He even went to daycare today while we worked.

I'm going to go out on a limb and just say that the Lookout Treehouse is a must have toddler toy - at least for boys. This was Alec's Valentine gift. He LOVES it! As soon as it was put together, (easy by the way) he was all over it. He just goes round and round - up the stairs and down the slide. He gets brave sometimes and tries to walk down the slide so we have to stay close by. This thing is perfect for relieving some pent up energy that he always seems to have in the evenings and especially on the weekends when we stay at home.  Good thing is we can move it outside once the weather gets better.

Day 4 of the 2011 Stomach Bug! Alec is still sick but doing much better today! :)

I finally went to work for most of the day while Eric and Alec stayed at home. Alec finally felt like eating and had some chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner. Hopefully, we won't regret this later on!

I'm hoping my little boy is on the mend and will be back to his old self in no time!

Valentine's Day! Alec is still very sick - he's in a good mood mostly but he just feels icky. :(

I made up some valentine's for Alec's daycare class and his teacher. We haven't delivered them yet with the illness and all but hopefully will sometime this week. Alec loves balloons so I picked him up a few at the grocery store. He got an Elmo balloon and a Sponge Bob balloon. He loves them and even says "boon" when he sees them - so cute!

Alec is climbing on everything! He finally figured out the kitchen chairs and I caught him in the act and snapped these pics. He was so proud to be sitting at the big table.

The other pics are of my V-day presents - a pink memory card reader and some comfy red UGG slippers - this is my second pair - I wore the first pair completely out. Eric also sent me some very pretty flowers to work. So sweet, he did good! :)

The last pics are of our night in - we originally had planned to go out but with Alec being sick those plans were postponed. We ordered PF Chang's take out, watched a horrible chick flick (You Again), and had some tasty cupcakes. It was a great night - just not the one we planned! A baby changes everything! :)
