Wednesday - 18 month check-up! Alec had his well baby check-up today. Eric and I both always try to go if possible just because we can both ask questions and hear what the doctor has to say. It's also good to have some help when Alec wants to run all over the place. :)
Today, Alec weighed 28.1 lbs. and was 33 3/4 inches tall - about 80th percentile for both. It's hard for me to believe he's gained over 20 lbs since he was born. The little guy is growing fast! He had a great check-up and no shots - yay! He doesn't have to go back until 2 years - after 18 months of going every 3 months - that's going to seem like an eternity!
Some other things I just want to remember - Alec is wearing 18-24 month pants, 2T shirts, and size 5 diapers. He still sleeps 11-12 hours at night and is taking a 2-3+ hour nap during the day. He's eating a lot but is starting to get a little picky - he will hardly eat any veggies (except veggie pouches) and the only meat he'll eat is breaded chicken. He loves fruit (cantaloupe, mandarin oranges, grapes, and bananas), he drinks whole milk and water, and loves cheese and crackers.
He's getting a little bit of an attitude. He says NO! constantly and shakes his head. Overall he's really good, just has his moments. He's usually pretty good in restaurants, just sometimes a little noisy. He's a social butterfly who will smile at everyone. He is becoming a little more shy around new people but he will mostly go to anyone. He's really started babbling and some days he will talk to me the whole way home. He has a lot to say! He loves being outside and taking long walks.
Happy 18 months (and 2 days) little guy! You are so much fun and we love you so much!
